The coast of the gift

The Sarasota and DeSoto Counties Boys and Girls Clubs will honor Marilyn and Irving Naiditch at the 9th Annual Champions for Children Gala on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Presented by the Annette J. Hagens Memorial Foundation, all proceeds from the event will provide youth in Sarasota and DeSoto Counties with access to award-winning programs that promote academic success, strong character and leadership, healthy living and career preparation. Champions for Children will take place at the Lee Wetherington Boys & Girls Club at 3100 Fruitville Road in Sarasota. For more than two decades, Marilyn and Irving Naiditch have impacted the lives of thousands of children by investing in Boys and Girls Clubs in Sarasota and DeSoto counties. Their passion for helping children reach their full potential grew out of Irving’s experience as a youngster attending Chicago’s Albany Park Boys Club. Sadly, Irving passed away in 2019, but his legacy will forever be embedded in the organization’s mission. The gala will include an al fresco cocktail reception, awards show, dinner program including a three-course gourmet meal hosted by Culinary Creations by Metz, dancing and a silent auction. Individual tickets are available for $400 per person. Sponsorships are also available starting at $5,000. Tickets and sponsorships can be purchased online at bgcsdc.org.
