The Flash actor Ezra Miller was frequently and openly emotionally distressed while filming the highly anticipated DCEU movie, an insider has claimed.
Comments from an insider close to Ezra Miller provide some insight into the flash the star’s emotional state leading up to their recent string of violent outbursts.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, the insider said Miller suffered “frequent meltdowns” on the set of the upcoming DC Extended Universe movie, describing the incidents as Miller “losing out.” However, the insider clarified that these “meltdowns” did not involve shouting or violence towards others. They further described Miller’s seemingly self-critical behavior, possibly related to his acting ability. “Ezra would have a thought in [their] head and say, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing,'” the insider said.
the flash wrapped filming in 2021 and is slated for a 2023 release, but Miller’s involvement in future DCEU projects and other Warner Bros. properties. is now on hold. Miller’s starring role as Barry Allen/The Flash is reportedly on “hiatus” following two violent incidents involving the actor in March.
At a Hawaiian bar on March 28, Miller allegedly refused to calm down after displaying aggressive behavior towards customers and was later arrested for harassment and disorderly conduct. After Miller was released on bail, a couple the actor was staying with filed a restraining order against Miller for allegedly threatening to kill the couple. They claimed that Miller stole the woman’s passport and the man’s wallet and ID cards. According to the court document, Miller allegedly “burst” into the couple’s bedroom saying, “I’m going to bury you and your slut wife.”
The March incidents were not the first time Miller had exhibited disturbing behavior in public. In 2020, Miller was filmed choking a woman and pushing her to the ground. Since the woman in the video views Miller playfully and appears to joke about getting into a fight before Miller grabs her, some viewed the incident at the time as just a joke taken too far.
In January, Miller posted a now-deleted video of themselves speaking to the “Beulaville Chapter of the Ku Klux Klan of North Carolina.” In the video, Miller urges KKK members to commit suicide. “Listen, if you all want to die, I suggest you kill each other with your own weapons, okay?” says the actor. “Otherwise, keep doing exactly what you’re doing right now – and you know what I’m talking about – and then, you know, we’ll do it for you if that’s really what you want.” While some fans praised Miller for his candor in exposing racists, others expressed concern over Miller’s behavior in the video and the explicitly violent nature of the message.
Barring any other delay, the flash hits theaters June 23, 2023.
