Fans fear for Whitney Dean’s life as Emmerdale hit by race investigation

Former Corrie & Emmerdale star Jonathan Wrather’s new job

EX Coronation Street and Emmerdale actor Jonathan Wrather swapped soaps for smoothies as he set up his own juice van.

The actor, 51, starred in the ITV campaign series as the killer Pierce Harris last year as well as former con man Joe Carter as Corrie, and opened Remedy on The Park earlier this this month.

The new business venture came after Jonathan moved from London to Alderley Edge, Cheshire, and wanted a healthier lifestyle and fell in love with the juice.

He said: “Moved to Alderley Edge from London five years ago with a young family, we have spent a lot of time in the village park.

“I started to juice and was intrigued by the health benefits that can be derived from consuming raw cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juices.

“As an actor who has spent long periods away from home, on tour or on set, I know it’s not always easy to eat well and take care of myself.

“I bought a juicer and started researching and reading religiously about nutrition and juices. It was a timely and obvious way to help protect my health, and especially that of my. children.

“Getting a healthy balance between my kids’ goodies and treats can be a bit of a battle! It was kind of a revelation that nutritious food can be delicious!

“Not only that, but it made perfect sense to counter the emergence of ‘lifestyle diseases’ that too many of us suffer from in predictable ways. “
