Kate Winslet taken to hospital after falling while filming in Croatia

Kate Winslet is ready to return to work after a hospital visit following an accident while filming an upcoming project in Croatia.

The actress was filming her lead role in the historical drama Lee when an accident on set led to her being taken to a nearby hospital to make sure she was okay, her reps confirmed to The News84Media. Winslet will resume filming this week as planned.

“Kate slipped and was taken to hospital as a production precaution,” her team said. “She is doing well and will be filming, as planned, this week.”

The 46-year-old Oscar winner will play photographer Lee Miller in the film which focuses on her life, including her work as a war correspondent for vogue during WWII. The cast of director Ellen Kuras’ film includes Marion Cotillard, Jude Law, Andrea Riseborough and Josh O’Connor.

Winslet, who has a role in the upcoming Avatar: The Way of the Waterwas most recently seen on the small screen with HBO Easttown Mare, which won him an Emmy Award last year. Recent movie credits included Ammonite, Blackbird and The mountain between us.

In a 2017 interview with THR’s Awards Speech podcast, the seven-time Oscar nominee said the joy she feels while acting hasn’t diminished over the years: “I love him more than ever, and I will love him again when I’m 75. “
