A sequel to the film of more than 130 million dollars Law abiding citizen is happening with the return of producer Lucas Foster and screenwriter Kurt Wimmer, as well as Gerard Butler and his G-Base partner Alan Siegel reprising their roles as producers.
The script is kept secret. The first film starred Butler and Jamie Foxx and was directed by F. Gary Gray, and followed Assistant District Attorney Nick Rice (Foxx)’s pursuit of Clyde Shelton (Butler), a frustrated father who enacts an elaborate plan and twisted to bring down Philadelphia’s entire justice system after a plea bargain freed the man who murdered his wife and daughter. Rivulet Films’ Rob Paris and Mike Witherill are producing alongside Foster and Wimmer. Foster will produce under his Warp Films banner. Tristen Tuckfield and Jillian Apfelbaum of Village Roadshow Pictures will executive produce on behalf of VRP.

Wimmer and Foster also teamed up on Balance, with Christian Bale; Street Kings, with Keanu Reeves; and, most recently, a Stephen King reboot Corn Children. Wimmer has written films such as those in 2012 Total recall for Columbia Pictures, 2015 Breaking point for Alcon/Warner Bros., salt for Columbia Pictures/Sony Pictures Entertainment and The Thomas Crowne Affair for United Artists/MGM. He recently wrote the original screenplay titled The beekeeper an action movie that David Ayer is on board to direct with Jason Statham set to star.
Foster has produced films such as Man on fire, Jumperand Mr. and Mrs. Smith, for Twentieth Century Fox. He most recently produced Morbius for Columbia Pictures and Ford versus Ferrari for Twentieth Century Fox which was nominated for four Oscars, winning two.

Rivulet Films recently acquired John Wick original screenplay by writer Derek Kolstad Acolytewhich they support and produce alongside Swiss distributor/producer Ascot Elite Entertainment.
