Ohio Governor Mike DeWine visits Ridge Corporation for groundbreaking celebration

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine visited Muskingum County for a groundbreaking ceremony celebrating the expansion of the Ridge Corporation manufacturing plant in Frazeysburg.

JobsOhio and the Ohio Department of Development both collaborated on the project with other state and local entities.

The expansion will result in the creation of nearly 100 new jobs.

“Manufacturing is alive and well in Ohio. It’s what we do, we make and sell things all over the world, ”Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said. “Ridge is doing great things, they are doubling the size of the company. We’re very excited about it and it’s good paying jobs.

Governor DeWine said it was a celebration for the Ridge Corporation. Ridge employees came together during the grand opening as they all understand the importance of expansion and how it will benefit not only the company but the individuals of Southeast Ohio.

“You see this all over Southeast Ohio. One of the things we’ve been pushing with JobsOhio is making sure we’re investing in the parts of the state that really need jobs. Southeastern Ohio needs jobs, ”Governor DeWine said.

Over the next few months, Gov. DeWine said a number of water and sewer grants will be announced in Southeast Ohio. A quarter of a million dollars has been spent on these grants.
