After The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power the cast hit the stage at San Diego Comic-Con I got to speak with Daniel Weyman (the stranger), Maxime Baldry (Isildur), Ismael Cruz Cordoba (Round), Ema Horvath (Eärien) and Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Queen Regent Míriel) at the Collider studio. During the interview, they talked about their reaction to seeing the first three episodes of the series, how huge the scale and scope is, why they are excited for people to see Númenor, how to be able to tell the story for eight hours in the first season allows for more character development and why they are excited to film power rings Season 2 in England. Additionally, Horvath talked about the level of detail in each set and how you can even see Númenor graffiti on Old Elvish in the background of a scene.
While the rest of the year has big shows scheduled to premiere, Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is easily my most anticipated series. Everything I’ve seen and heard about the showrunners JD Payne and patrick mckay The show looks amazing, and I loved that they had a five season arc figured out and how Amazon is spending all the money to bring the show to life.
Watch the new trailer and tell me you’re not thrilled to see this show. In addition, J.A. Bayona (A monster is calling, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), directed the first two episodes of the season and I think he’s a great choice to set the tone for the show.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power also stars Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Charles Edwards, Trystan GravelleSir Lenny Henry, Markella Kavenagh, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walkerand Sara Zwangobani.

Here is the official synopsis:
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power from Prime Video brings to the screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the legendary history of the Second Age of Middle-earth. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit and JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to a time when great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin. , unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung on the thinnest of threads, and the greatest villain to ever spring from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover the entire world in darkness. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows a cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the dreaded re-emergence of evil in Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elven capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the far reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that will last long after they left.
