Death In Paradise returns to screens on Boxing Day with its Christmas special – before the start of its 11th series for the New Year.

The show offers viewers the chance to escape the cold, dark nights for an hour each week, and instead feast their eyes on its sunny locations – but where is the fictional island of St. Mary?

As the show’s title suggests, it’s pure paradise (just ignore all the gruesome killings, right?) – but is it a real island, and can you visit it?

Where is filmed Death in Heaven?

If you want to see the scenery, you’ll need to pack your bags and head to the airport, as it’s filmed in Guadeloupe In the Caribbean.

When does Death In Paradise season 11 begin?

Death In Paradise Season 11 premieres Friday, January 7 on BBC One at 9 p.m. ET.

In addition to introducing us to new cast members including Shantol Jackson as ambitious young sergeant Naomi Thomas, Season 11 will see the return of Ralf Little as DI Neville Parker.

The character left viewers on a cliffhanger at the end of the last series when he confessed his feelings for DS Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert).

Executive producer Tim Key has given some clues as to what viewers can expect in February 2021 after Season 10 ends.
